BirdieBudz ("we", "us", "our") operates the BirdieBudz mobile application and website at birdiebudz.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

When you use BirdieBudz, we collect:

• Account information: Email address, display name, username, and optional phone number you provide during sign-up.
• Profile information: Handicap, pace preference, home course, membership type, and profile photo.
• Golf activity: Tee times you create or join, availability schedule, league participation, round history, and groups.
• Device information: Push notification tokens for sending you notifications about your tee times and friend activity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core service: coordinating tee times, availability, and groups with your friends.
• To send push notifications about join requests, tee time updates, league confirmations, and friend requests.
• To display your profile to other authenticated users (display name, handicap, pace, home course, and availability schedule).
• To enable friend search by username or phone number.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is shared only in these ways:

• With other users: Your display name, username, handicap, pace, home course, and weekly availability schedule are visible to other authenticated BirdieBudz users. Tee times and "I'm Free" posts are shared only with the audience you choose (friends, groups, or all users).
• Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, and Expo for push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access data they are authorized to see. Profile photos are stored in Supabase Storage.

5. Your Rights

• Access and edit: You can view and update your profile information at any time in the app.
• Delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen. This action is irreversible.
• Opt out of notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

BirdieBudz is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
